EDM #129: People Doing Something

I pencil-sketched this at a local take-out joint, the proverbial "greasy spoon", while I sat at the counter waiting for my order. Before I left, I took a snapshot with my camera phone for reference. When I got home, I finished my lunch...and this drawing.
If you notice, this is the first drawing on my blog that has people in it...such as they are.

It is a wonderful sketch. Don't know why you are holding out on doing people-these are great!! And the perspective is right on.

I have to agree with Teri, the people look great. As does the whole sketch. You can feel that they are hard at work. And I love how you portrayed the waiter walking back toward your table. Very well done.

Wow Rock - you really have a way with people. Your characters are very compelling. You've captured such a perfect moment in time. I would love to see a whole graphic novel illustrated this way...Ever think about writing one?

I think you captured the gestures of these workers, as well as the kids in line at the peach in the other post. You have a good sense of values in all your pictures. Very pleasant to look at!!

I think the people make this sketch. The three arms/hands make an interesting triangle.
