EDM #127: Skyscape
When driving across the Great Plains at dusk, the domed canopy of the sky slowly engulfs you and becomes your world. You can see the beginnings and endings of rain-hundreds of miles away...and the lightning competes with the rays of the sun.
Outstanding! I love your commentary too. What did you use for the color as I see that you draw primarily with pen and ink (I love it!) I also like the fact that you don't try to make your lines perfectly straight, I find it much more interesting that way
Yes...this drawing is the exception to the rule. I just didn't know another way to convey the sun...so I took the easy route and used colored pencil! Thanks for your visit and kind words.
(I deleted my own comment!) Anyway, I will take this as a definite compliment: coming from someone who lives in the flatlands. Thanks. Thanks also for everyones' visits and encouragements.

This sky looks very powerful. Lovely atmospheric drawing.
OOOohhhh, I like this. Wow, that sky is just overwhelming. In a cool way. Nice work!
I love this because it reminds me of the spring and summer storms we get here in Kansas. You did a really great job of capturing the atmosphere.

Love that peek of colour! Your landscapes have such impact.
